: Following the SAR Government
HK's commitment to strengthen Hong Kong's role as an international
and regional transportation and logistics hub, Ta Kung Pao(大公報)
organized a symposium on October 31, 2001 to discuss relevant
issues including how the SAR Government HK creates opportunities
to expedite the development of logistics services. Participants
include leaders of the HK logistics industry, intellectuals,
as well as influentials from Shengzhen.
Simon Hsu, Chairman
of ecL commented that the high land prices hinder the development
of logistics industry in HK and the government officials
should have a clear view on "logistics". Also,
aggressiveness to attract overseas business is important.
Solutions of other participants include simplifying the
multiple customs clearing procedures for the transshipments
of goods between Hong Kong and the mainland, quickening
the training of logistics management personnel, promotion
activities and developing the kind of services that characterize
the logistics industry of Hong Kong.
摘要:十月三十一日,大公報報舉辦了一個物流業研討會,與會的有居本港物流業領導地位的商界人士和學者,還有深圳的業界貴賓十餘人,就董特首在施政報告提出的「增加香港作為供應鏈基地的優勢」、「加快建立有香港特色的物流服務業」及成立「物流發展督導委員會」、「物流發展局」等問題進行了討論,會上各專家紛紛發表了精闢的意見。
各與會專家對於政府發展物流業都抱支持的態度,更期望政府能夠為業界創造更好的經營環境。代表指出,香港要發展成物流中心,必須控制土地成本、與珠江三角洲加強聯繫,粵港兩地宜盡快實施貨物廿四小時通關以及「兩關一檢」,加快通關時間等,這些都需要政府政策的配合。
網豐物流資訊有限公司主席除乃成認為香港政府必須調控地價,如果不將地價成本降至合理水平,那我會認為,在高成本的地價下,香港的物流行業是很難發展得好的。另一方面,政府官員也必須就何謂物流有更清晰的了解,而努力積極的態度也是吸引外商的重要因素。
其他討論題目包括:對「一會一局」的期望和寄托、人力資源、宣傳推廣和加快建立香港特色的物流服務。
