ecL's wholly owned subsidiary, Guangzhou eg-Logistics Ltd,
a leading logistics service provider in China, has been
selected by a Japanese supplier, renowned worldwide for
quality electronic products including copying machines,
printers, etc., to manage its logistics activities in China
effective June 2004.
To
ensure efficiency of the supply chain operation, eg-Logistics
deploys ecL's proprietary Warehouse Management System, which
allows Internet ordering, full traceability of products,
bar-code management, 24-hour web-cam monitoring, real-time
inventory control and JIT deliveries. The system not only
satisfies the customer's demand for interchange of real-time
information among manufacturing centres, warehouses and
distributors, it also supports the customer's marketing
strategy while improving inventory turns.
